Dear rebels and misfits: whole30 doesn’t allow snacks but the world does wants to know what snacks exist within the list of whole 30 foods. Today I will share with you some snack ideas. I have a bunch of savory whole 30 snack ideas too so if you’d like to see those in the future let me know!
TIP: If your almond butter is too stiff then microwave a couple tablespoons for just a few seconds. Or mix a couple tablespoons of almond butter with a few drops of hot water.
PS: the almond butter I used in the video has sugar in it (*gasp*). I was too cheap to open the wallet for the good stuff 🙂 I trust you’ll buy approved almond butter and not be like me.
Almond Coconut Bites
So freaking good! I’ve already make a second batch. Feel free to use any spices.
1/2 cups almonds (84g), 1/4 cup coconut flakes (16g), 1 cup dates (pits removed, 140g), dash of cinnamon & nutmeg
- Process almonds with coconut flakes & spices in a food processor until everything is broken down into small pieces.
- Add dates and processes well. Pinch mixture together with your fingers. If it holds shape then move to the next step. If too dry and not sticky then add more dates and keep processing.
- Scoop and roll mixture into bite size balls. ENJOY

Cocoa Banana Ice Cream
Really, who isn’t in love with banana ice cream?!
2 sliced frozen bananas (328g), 1 TB cocoa powder, dash of cold water + toppings (cashews, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, spoon of almond butter)
- Blend frozen sliced bananas with cocoa powder and a dash of cold water
- Once smooth pour into a bowl and add whatever toppings you’d like. ENJOY
Fruit Cereal Bowl
It’s like cereal because it’s cold almond milk with crunchy bits (apples!) and spices (cinnamon).
2 apples (chopped), fresh almond milk (homemade recipe here), cinnamon, hemp seeds
- Chop apples and place in bowl
- Add homemade almond milk
- Top with cinnamon and hemp seeds. Bananas would be a good topping too! ENJOY
Banana Almond Butter Bites
1 large banana + 1-2 TB almond butter
- Slice bananas
- Add almond butter and between bananas slices. ENJOY

2 celery stalks, couple TB almond butter, tiny box of raisins
- Chop celery
- Add almond butter
- Top with raisins. ENJOY
