Vegan Flax Wraps – 3g net Carbs
My didn’t come out perfectly but dang these are good! Spread some almond cream cheese on these and you will be shocked. I accidentally used the wrong water to flax ratio. There for my flax tortillas didn’t come out flawless. The recipe makes 4 and only the 4th one came out. I’m guessing this has to do with the fact that I used too much water by accident. I have the original recipe below. Proper measurements are listed. I wonder if my 4th try worked out was because the mixture had longer to gel up.

1 Flax Tortilla (1/4 of recipe): 170 calories, 6g protein, 12g fat, 10g carbs, 7g fiber, 3 net carbs

1 cup flax meal, 2/3 cup water, salt and any spices (I filled with chive almond cream cheese and spinach)

  1. Boil water, mix in flax meal, salt and spices
  2. Remove from heat and mix mixture thoroughly
  3. Let cool for a few minutes
  4. Divide into 4 pieces and roll super thin between 2 sheets of parchment paper
  5. Grill in skillet on high heat. Grill each side until the flax tortilla changes from looking wet to drier. Maybe a minute or two. ENJOY

Vegan Keto Oatmeal – Grain Free – 11g net Carbs
The carb count includes all the toppings so feel free to limit the extra goodies if you’d like this to be even lower carb. This recipe I also thought would be bland or maybe even not good. Dude this was SOOOO good. So filling and comforting. This is the vegan keto breakfast of your dreams!

Whole recipes including toppings: 723 calories, 59g fat, 24g protein, 30g carbs, 19g fiber, 11g net carbs

1 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup hemp seed, 1/4 cup flax meal, 1 TB chia seed, 1 TB coconut flour, 1 TB sweetener (I used powdered swerve), 1 TB coconut oil, dash vanilla extract & cinnamon powder + toppings (25g raspberries, 4g sliced almonds, 2.5g cacao nibs, 3g coconut flakes)

  1. Mix everything (not the toppings) in a bowl. Microwave 2 minutes and mix again.
  2. Add toppings. ENJOY

2 Ingredient Flax Meal Crackers – 11g carbs
I actually love flax crackers. I’ve made flax crackers more with seeds. This might have been my first time making the crackers with flax meal. All you need is 2 part flax meal and 1 part water. Any salt and spices are up to you! Wow this are high in protein!

Whole batch of crackers: 622 calories, 43g fat, 22g protein, 36g carbs, 25g fiber, 11g net carbs

1 cup flax meal (110g), 1/2 cup water, salt & spices

  1. Mix water and flax meal into a paste (add spices & salt now or on top)
  2. Roll as thin as you can between 2 sheets of parchment paper
  3. Score lines in the dough
  4. Bake 280 degrees (or as close to this low temperature as you can) for 2 hours and flip half way through. Bake longer or shorter depending on how thick your crackers are. These are done once crispy. ENJOY

  1. Me! I have hippie taste buds! These recipes all look so simple, especially the crackers. Thank you!!!

    • hahaha me too! I swear I’ll think somethings tastes good and I’m pretty sure most people would be like, “don’t think so homegirl”

Dude flaxmeal is legit! It seems like a bag from aldi goes a long way. I’m so pumped aldi sells flax seed & meal. Just seems like such a specialty items.

  2. Dude I love your videos because I have hippie taste buds!!! Can’t wait to make all three this week, peace and love from Iran πŸ™‚

    • Oh wow thanks! Hello Iran <3 I made a vegan Persian recipe videos a while back πŸ™‚

hahahah. hippie taste buds unite! Sending you love from Texas!

  3. When did you change your name? I’m so confused. Are you not a badass bitch anymore?? 😣😦☹

    • good thing labels doesn’t make us! here’s my response to some folks on twitter πŸ™‚

3 reasons 😎1) I’d like to out grow those names & shake off parts of my identity that has me feeling small and not worth so much. 2) It’s a mental relief to have all of my platforms with the same name. FB is challenge this though πŸ˜ͺ 3) I’d love to value my work & work with brands😍

everything is going to be the same. just the names on the pages are different.

  4. I’m so happy and excited about these recipes! Thanks so much! ! I’m going to make the wraps and crackers right now! This is great! I have plenty of ground flax seed just waiting to be used up! I got them on clearance at Sprouts! What perfect timing! I was missing tortillas and store wraps and tortillas have too many ingredients in them. I’m hoping they turn out in a tortilla press because I don’t have a badass rolling stone and I hate rolling pins πŸ˜‚

    • i need to know how it goes for you. let me know what you think and if you make anything special with them.

Dude those flax tortillas and crackers are unstoppable with almond cream cheese!!!!

i really need to make a video of some fermented nut cheeses. So addicting. they’re not cheap but I only buy them for videos so the moderate indulgence is awesome!

      • They were easy to make with the tortilla press! I wanted thinner and bigger tortillas so i tried rolling them out. Too sticky for parchment paper and silicone mat too. Wish I had those hippy taste buds you have because I was like damn. These smell AND taste like grass πŸ˜‚ I’ve had flax before but only blended in shakes and mixed in oatmeal. I didn’t make crackers. I seriously cant stand the smell of heated up flax 😷 I’m going to get golden flax and see if that’s less grassy. If that’s doesn’t work I’ll definately make chia wraps. I loooove chia! You seriously going to make a fermented nut cheese video?! Yesss! I’ve never experimented with that and I know you’ll make some great cheese!!

        • come to think of it… i don’t think i like the smell of heated flax either. or something. I remember selling something lately where I was like, “oh hell nah”.

Dude how is keto going for you? I know i asked you recently but I’m beyond fascinated and need more details πŸ™‚

I really should make a nut chz video!

        • Golden flax worked beautifully! I know I sound crazy but it tastes like a wheat wrap 😍 Thanks so much for the inspiration! I’m loving this keto lifestyle! Did I tell you I’m binge free since eating low carb? I still have super cravings for desserts during pms but there’s no more overeating and I feel like I have more time to just enjoy life! Every day feels so easy and smooth! I’ve never experienced this with any other way of eating! I can’t help but weigh myself every week. I am not losing much weight but I fit into clothes that were too small before! Best of all, I’m no longer impatient about the weight loss. I really struggled with wanting to cut calories extremely low and overdo exercise. Now I’m just focused on feeling normal and being happy and stress free. I’m no longer obsessed with weightloss. It’s happening effortlessly and it feels natural and amazing! Thanks for asking and checking on me! How are you doing? Have you been doing any new workouts? Please tell me the name of the type of bike machine you have! I miss spinning so much!

        • dude that is incredible! the people who keto is a good fit for say very similar things! that sounds sooo liberating.

Just the fact that it’s calmed you down from needing impossibly immediate results sounds priceless.

we just joined a join that is so much more spacious than the one i used to go to. That simply means that even when there’s a decent amount of cars in the parking lot it doesn’t feel even close to crowded.

I never feel overwhelmed or overstimulated that. I didn’t know a gym experience could be so chill! I’m guessing the night time there is insane but i have just been going in the morning. it’s seriously a world of difference between this gym and my last.

we’re still not getting up early enough to have my ideal gym experience. we get up with enough time to have 30 minutes in the gym. I’m not complaining because I’m proud to be just doing that.

So 30 minutes in the gym means that my goal is simply to raise my heart rate to 75% max for cardiovascular health.

Now there’s legit vision for me to do the cable machine for strength, muscle and aesthetics twice a week. But i need at 45 minutes for that. I NEED to warm up forehand. I’m all about preventing injury πŸ™‚

I love hearing about your food stuff!!

        • Thats so awesome y’all found a better gym! The truly dedicated and hardcore workout in the morning 😎Love the natural boost of energy you get from working out. Perfect way to start the day πŸ‘

        • the magic of doing what you say you’re going to do. That feeling of following through first thing in the day is the best feeling.
